Karishma Ahuja - Mastermind Training

Q1. How did your career journey start? Or Who/What inspired you to start this business/ entrepreneurship?

Blessed with a family of freedom fighters, I knew from a very early age that reaching
out to others for a common higher purpose brings great fulfilment and happiness. I
deeply felt that each one of us has something special and unique and that our talents
are gifts bestowed on us by the universe to extend love and joy to others.

At the age of 17, I had my first ‘Aha’ moment so to say, when I picked up the book,
Game of life and How to play it, by Author Florence Scovel Shinn. For the first time I
realised that we do not just participate in our problems but we are the ones who
created the problem for ourselves.

Although a Business Analyst by profession, I spent most of my after work hours
reading about the mind and loved to gain deeper insights on we could use these
universal laws in our lives for becoming conscious creators. After completing my
certification in the Law of Attraction I went on to study Metaphysics and did a course
in Vedanta. At 26 I had found my calling and MasterMind Training was born

Q2. Kindly share some information about your Business, products and
services here.

I am a Certified Law of Attraction Facilitator, A Course in Miracles Teacher,
Metaphysical Counselor and Ho’oponopono Practitioner
I run a Holistic Wellness Company and Training center called ‘MasterMind Training’
that conducts Workshops & Courses designed to help one gain a greater clarity of
purpose and take 100 % Responsibility for everything and everyone in our life to see
desired results. There are a series of keynotes, talks, and seminars for corporates,
businesses, and individuals including workshops for children – that apply the
practices of Universal laws and a Hawaiin modality called ‘Ho’oponopono’ to bring us
closer to our Powerful limitless selves and give us an edge in all areas of life

Q3. What kind of challenges did you face while starting/doing business?

Since I started my training career at an early age I did receive some resistance
initially since people generally look up to your previous work and experience in the
industry. Also social media was not as big as it is today so marketing and visibility
weren’t that easy. However As Benjamin Franklin says, Success lies outside your
comfort zone so i went ahead anyway knowing fully that meeting and reaching out to
as many people as possible would be imperative to take my work to the next level
and it did, Universe opened doors miraculously.

Q4. Do share with our readers about your discovery period when you were facing difficulties in your business?

It was very important to have an open mind and heart, each day brought me greater
insights. Networking brought in opportunities. Getting connected with like-minded
people really helped.

Q5. Share with our readers about your experiment period after the discovery period?

Feedback from participants post the sessions helped me a great deal to know what
their major challenges were and how they were implementing the techniques shared.

This helped me further shape my trainings to further uncover what their major blocks
were. I knew people are hungry - hungry for change and it was important to give
them something that was easy to apply and fun to include in their day to day life.

After all it’s not just about completing this journey called ‘Life’ it’s about enjoying the
travel too. I started to connect more deeply to people and this helped bring in more
clients through word of mouth and recommendations

Q6. What are your future plans? Or now what is your vision for next five years?

To positively impact as many people as possible and build a diverse global community of individuals who are conscious creators of their life and engage in networks and processes to resolve the problems faced by humankind by taking 100
% responsibility for them.

Q7. How would you advice/suggest new entrepreneurs who want to start & sustain in business?

It is said, What is worth doing, is worth doing badly until you get in right. So I think it
is very important to have a clear vision of what you wish to accomplish and work
towards it wholeheartedly. Also follow your bliss, listen to your heart and you will
always make the right decisions. Never compromise on quality, Money and wealth
you accumulate will always be in direct proportion to the service you render!

God Speed to all

Alex Fayman - Author of Sci-Fi thriller ebook Superhighway

Q1. How did your career journey start? Or Who/What inspired you to start this business/ entrepreneurship?

In 1999, I completed an undergraduate degree in Biology. I was pursuing my father’s dream. He is a medical doctor and he wanted me to follow in kind. In my final semester, I took an elective in Economics. It was the first time I was truly excited to be in the classroom. It took some convincing, but I got my father to agree, and let me try an MBA program. Once I walked into a Finance class, my fate was sealed. I had discovered the subject that made me want to learn. I enjoyed finance so much, that I decided to become a doctor anyway. Only I would not be the kind of doctor that treats patients, but rather one that publishes on research and teaches at a university.

I completed a PhD in Finance in 2006 and got a job at a university in Arkansas. It was my goal to leave the small school and state as soon as possible, but 9 years later, I have 15 publications in the fields of Finance and Economics, and I am still here as a tenured professor. Three years ago, when
my wife started law school, I figured that I had some time on my hands, so I decided to write a book.

Q2. Kindly share some information about your Business, products and services here.

On February, 13, 2015, Superhighway, my Sci-Fi thriller went on sale all over the world. It’s a one of a kind novel that I believe will be as popular as Matrix and Back to the Future, from the earlier decades.

http://www.amazon.com/Superhighway-Alex-Fayman-ebook/dp/B00T6PMP9O/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1423859385&sr=1-1&keywords=superhighway

The main character in my novel possesses a superpower to travel through the Internet and change data inside. It’s an exciting, one of a kind novel.

Q3. What kind of challenges did you face while starting/doing business?

When the book went on sale, I had to figure out how to market the book without using any financial resources. My wife is still a student in her final semester of law school and we had a baby on January 2, 2015. I was offered services by PR firms, but had no budget for them. I had never used Twitter before, but knew about its potential. On February 15, 2015, I got on Twitter and had a handful of followers who were my family. Today, five weeks later, I have 8,600 followers. Many of my followers are authors, artists, publishers, IT people, and businesses. The word about my book is quickly spreading and I’ve been asked to talk to a CEO of a publishing company and do this interview with your well-espected Entrepreneurship magazine.

Q4. Do share with our readers about your discovery period when you were facing difficulties in your business?

I did not sleep more than 1 hour a night, for the first 2 weeks on Twitter. My sister, who is completing an MBA at University of Chicago and is the Director of Marketing at Trello, suggested I find an article on influencers. That was all the help I got with the marketing process, and it was all the help I needed.

I send emails to influential Twitter personas telling them about my book and myself, and then tweeted them my book promo. Many, were kind enough to follow me, providing me with credibility. In less than a week, I had over a thousand followers, most were people with long and successful careers in their respective fields.

After two weeks on Twitter, I learned the key lesson of digital marketing. You cannot ask people to do anything for you. They simply won’t. People, online, have to want to do something for you. In my case, it was spread the word about Superhighway. I think it was the combination of me being kind to people online, my ability to get influencers, and the fact that I have a powerful product. Superhighway was constantly receiving positive comments.

Q5. Share with our readers about your experiment period after the discovery period?

I decided that I needed to develop a Superhighway brand by talking about education, love and fitness, instead of trying to get people to buy my book. The response was rather interesting. People started tweeting me and asking me about the book. Finally, I realized that all those authors, artists, poets and businesses that followed me needed an online market for their products. If I could create a market for their products and RT them, they would RT my book. I was always a fan of electro music.

On week 3 on Twitter, I started posting my favorite music clips, and that increased the inflow of followers. Artists began RT Superhighway, just so in response I would RT their work in my newly created marketplace. My followers enjoyed the music so much that they would RT the works of the artists and businesses that followed me. The key is to be social and to thank everyone for his or her efforts. That takes time. I still have my academic job and a two-month-old baby.

Q6. What are your future plans? Or now what is your vision for next five years?

I am working on the Superhighway sequel. I would like to sign a blockbuster contract with a major publishing company for Superhighway. I want to continue to build the Superhighway brand. I think it has big possibilities and could become a brand worth billions of dollars.

Q7. How would you advice/suggest new entrepreneurs who want to start & sustain in business?

I think that Twitter is Facebook on steroids, as far as marketing is concerned. I think that the key to social networking is to be social. Being social was always one of my strongest character traits. I have always been able to talk to people and figure out how to make them smile. These physical interactions transcend into the digital world. So the key is to be nice to people. In America, there is a saying, “Kill them with kindness.” It has become somewhat of a motto for me.

Margot Borden - East-West Executive Coach, Speaker, Author, Consultant

Q1. How did your career journey start? Or Who/What inspired you to start this business/ entrepreneurship?

When I set out to study business for my undergraduate degree, I had no intention of going into business!

Since childhood, my real desire was to help people and I had a particular sensitivity for sensing the inner world of the people around me. I had my first breathwork session in Ireland in 1985, which was a turnaround experience. I realized that beyond all of the worldly experiences, there is a universe within. I had found my passion. I decided then and there that I wanted to train and work using the breath to help people liberate their blockages and achieve their full potential. This was followed by many more trainings and a master’s degree in Humanistic Psychology.  My passion is in helping people and companies discover their inner truth and then bringing it out into all aspects of their lives and livelihoods.

2. Kindly share some information about your Business, products and services here.

 Psychotherapist and healer, working with individuals and groups.

 Co-author and co-editor Spirituality and Business: Exploring Possibilities for a New Management Paradigm (2010) and Mindfulness and Business in Palgrave Handbook of Spirituality and Business (2011).

 Public speaker and seminar facilitator.

 East-West Executive Coach, helping professionals and their families succeed in and optimize their expat experiences between India and the West.

Everything I do is centered on the core vision of helping others to identify and liberate their blockages and limitations in order to achieve their full potential.

Finding and aligning to our soul leads to a fully congruent life that is wholesome, meaningful and meaning-making.

Q3. What kind of challenges did you face while starting/doing business?

I’m a self-made woman. I started out in France where the culture is individualistic and not collaborative. It took tons of courage and a strong vision to keep me on track. With that in hand and the support of various coaches and friends, I was able to keep up the fight.

Q4. Do share with our readers about your discovery period when you were facing difficulties in your business?

At first, I had so much energy no obstacle was too great.  I networked like a maniac, facilitated many groups and did everything I could to spread the word and build my clientele. Being outside the box in a conservative and individualistic culture in France, were not easy. I felt like it was all effort and not enough return.

My yearly visits to India kept me going. I would get my fill of sunshine, love and spiritual sustenance and then set out for another year of hard work in France. Oh, and by the way, I’m not French. I’m American. I moved to France when I was 19 and lived there on and off until February when I took a leap of faith and shifted to India.

Q5. Share with our readers about your experiment period after the discovery period?

The turning point was the year I worked with James Hindhaugh, a marketing professional, who helped me develop a business model and a means to develop my business; a call to action. It was smooth sailing from then on.

Q6. What are your future plans? Or now what is your vision for next five years?

I would like to continue my development in the area of international speaking and seminar facilitation. I’ll always continue my work with individuals as I cherish it very much. I hope to stay based in India. It’s been wonderful, warm and welcoming beyond my dreams!

Q7. How would you advice/suggest new entrepreneurs who want to start & sustain in business?

Find and align to your deepest, inner truth and passion.
